Next Morning.
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking against the dim light filtering in through the curtains. My head was heavy, my body stiff, but the softness beneath me made me feel oddly comforted. I was cocooned in the thickest, most comfortable blanket, the kind that made you feel like you were being held by the very fabric of warmth itself. But there was something... off. The weight on my limbs. The cold, metallic bite of chains around my wrists and ankles.
