On a random morning, Chandani sat at her desk, her laptop open in front of her as she tried to focus on her online class. Her professor's voice drifted on in the background, but her mind kept taking her back to yesterday's long drive with her Shiv. She had begged and pleaded, using every trick in her book to get him to agree, knowing how stubborn he could be. It had taken an entire day of "manofying" him, with exaggerated puppy eyes, pouty looks and so much drama. But finally, with a dramatic sigh, he agreed when he could say no to her, and they'd set off as the sunset. They'd ended up at a quiet beach right as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in soft shades of orange and pink, as they spent their whole evening together hand in hand close to each other.
