I groaned in frustration as the continuous rings on my phone disrupted the peace of the early morning. With my eyes still closed, I reached out blindly and threw the phone against the wall. The crashing sound echoed through the room, it was the limit to my rising irritation. Rolling over to the other side, I roamed my hand through the bedsheets in search of her, but my fingers met only empty space. My heart skipped a beat as I threw the comforter aside and sat up, scanning the room frantically.
